By conducting daily shooting exercises, you will gain insight and knowledge about reflectivity, exposures in changing conditions, and the pros and cons of b&w, infrared and color photography under these conditions. Best of all with be the fun and unpredictability that only water offers. You will learn special pre-visualization techniques, as well as how to pose your subject and use artificial textures to create organic results. In addition, there will be end of day group interaction, group critiquing and an opportunity for individual critiquing of your portfolio by Laurie Klein. This workshop is for WOMEN ONLY!

Got Juice? – Creative Juice That Is
with Laurie Klein
Now more than ever, the global marketplace is demanding higher and higher levels of creative thinking.  With the emergence of a well educated, middle class in countries such as China and India, the economic competitive advantage in the future will fall to the society that learns to use new techniques that foster cutting-edge creative solutions.
Do you recall the freedom and joy you felt as a child when playing with finger paints?   Creative thinking was easier then.  We relied more upon our intuitive, right-brain functioning than on our logical left-brain functioning.  It’s time to bring back that creative child again.
This workshop will facilitate:
• independent expression
• visual journaling
• greater reliance on intuition
• small group creative ‘think tanks’
• will facilitate broader analytical thinking
• renewed energy and initiative
• heightened awareness of new possibilities
This is a hands-on workshop that uses photography as a tool to unblock years of reticent creativity.  It does not require any knowledge of photography other than the ability to point and shoot.  Laurie’s goal is to have her students leave the workshop with renewed purpose, new perspectives, and the ability to keep growing their creative skills on their own.  Get some juice,  get ‘out of the box’ and shout, “I’ve got a better idea!”
Friday-Sunday July 30th - August 1st, 10- 3:30 $395
