Laurie Klein Comes To Florida!

Photographic workshops with renowned photographer Laurie Klein. Laurie Klein apprenticed with the renowned photographer, Ansel Adams. She has taught photography for over 30 years to students of all ages and levels of expertise. Her work has appeared in many publications and private collections. Laurie has also exhibited her fine art internationally as well. Published work includes "Hand Coloring Black and White Photography" (Quarry Books), the Prismacolor Project Kit (Newell/Rubbermaid), and numerous professional wedding photography books.

Basic Camera Handling
You will learn how to use all the features on your camera whether it is digital or film in a fun fashion. The concentration will be on f Stops and shutter speeds, flash photography and compositional elements.
Bring your SLR and get ready for some excitement and aha moments.

Intermediate Photography
Lets go beyond the basics together and discover the wonders of portraiture! We will have a model to photograph. We will experiment and discuss
flash/lighting, advance camera controls and aesthetics. This is a really fun
workshop and perfect for anyone with a basic knowledge of camera handling.

Every budding artist is on a quest to discover their unique visual voice. Laurie Klein has an exceptional ability to use the medium of photography in order to foster the artist within.
This workshop is for everyone who have an unrelenting passion for the creative arts.

Photography Playdate for Adults
Come delve into the amazing world of photography with Laurie Klein. You will feel like a kid again, and spend a wonderful day shooting with your cameras. This will be a character study in photography, so dress in clothes that fit your wild side and bring at least 2 other charismatic changes of clothes. Try to think of the character you would like to create, and be free with it. Don't forget cosmetics and props - the wilder the better! Laurie will be there to help you create your alter ego. Expect to have lots of fun wearing very expressive makeup and shooting one another. You will learn: self-portraiture, posing, ways to get more from your subjects, composition, the importance of natural light, as well as how to bend light to your will.
If you have a laptop, please bring it so Laurie can review your days' work. Bring lunch, drinks, your camera of course with charged batteries and empty memory cards, and a flash and tripod if you have one.

You will come away........feeling refreshed, excited, and creatively stimulated. At the end of the day of shooting, we will work together to choose 20 of your best photos that will make up a bound book - a cherished record of your experience. Also, all of the photos taken that day will be given to you on a DVD.
Would you like to find that inner child at play? LK will lead you on a 2 hour "Alice in Wonderland" -type of experience. This journey will include being photographed by Laurie Klein herself. She will help coordinate your wardrobe to bring out your alter egos, try on new persona's and just play. Please call to inquire about dates, fees and times. Because this is a custom course, Laurie will work around your schedule.
